Marisa Hoicka is an artist working in painting, performance art, video, fibres and installation. Often her shows combine these different interests. Screen Test : the Curatorial Incubator v.11 My video “Insides Out: Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes” will be screened January 11th, 2pm at VTAPE, 401 Richmond Street, Suite 452. The show will be available to view until February 7th. A catalogue of the show is also available at VTAPE. Rebels With a Cause Film Festival My video “This is Not a Test” is being screened at the Rebels with a Cause Film Festival curated by FAG (Feminist Art Gallery -Deirdre Logue and Allyson Mitchell) on October 24th at York University. SFMOMA My video “This is Not a Test” is being screened as part of “More Than Just Queer,” curated by FAG (Feminist Art Gallery -Deirdre Logue and Allyson Mitchell) at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art on Thursday March 14th. “Art in Office” A solo show of my paintings entitled “Meet Me Half Way,” was recently displayed March until the end of May at the Department of Canadian Heritage in Toronto Nature Morte, a solo performance at Le Labo, Toronto, 2012 Search, Marisa Hoicka and Johnny Forever gallerywest/ Nuit Blanche 2012 Power Ball: Quarter-Life Crisis at the Power Plant June 14, 2012.
